Expert Hausa Language Specialist

Torden LLC is actively seeking experienced linguist professionals to deliver essential linguistic support services to intelligence operations aimed at facilitating ongoing, real-world missions. As a Senior Hausa Linguist, your primary responsibility will involve the processing of Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) data. The program operates continuously, requiring linguists to be assigned to specific work shifts that may rotate throughout the year. Mission assignments will be determined by the needs of the government and the specifics of assigned missions.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide interpretation and transcription services in Hausa.
  • Facilitate interpretation between the target language dialect and English (ILR Level 3).
  • Exhibit working proficiency in English (ILR Level 3).
  • Demonstrate a proven ability to conduct precise translation, transcription, and interpretation.
  • Possess typing and computer skills necessary for the role.
  • Exhibit quick thinking and the ability to work collaboratively in a professional environment.
  • Understand the essentials of speech in a standard dialect and possess a broad vocabulary to minimize the need for paraphrasing or clarification.
  • Accurately follow conversations among educated native speakers.
  • Comprehend radio broadcasts, news stories akin to wire service reports, oral reports, some technical oral reports, and public addresses on non-technical subjects.
Security Requirements:
  • Must hold an active TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI access.
  • All candidates are required to pass a U.S. Government Counterintelligence (CI) screening and polygraph to obtain a TOP SECRET security clearance with SCI access.
  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
*Note: Federal regulations stipulate that all applicants for this position must be U.S. citizens.* Priority will be given to candidates with active security clearances, recent CI interviews, and current polygraphs.
