Industrial Engineer Formation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Engineer Formation to join our Process & Industrial Engineering team at Skeleton Technologies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for successfully commissioning and starting equipment and processes in our new Leipzig Gigafactory.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the single point of contact for equipment manufacturers during project execution, tracking supplier progress via regular timeline and task list reviews.
- Take ownership of assigned parts of the manufacturing line, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
- Ensure that technical specifications are implemented in equipment, resolving any technical open points related to equipment.
- Maintain and structure equipment-related documentation for future scale-up phases.
- Oversee equipment FAT at the manufacturer's site, documenting the FAT report and assigning post-FAT improvement actions.
- Responsible for equipment commissioning and SAT in Skeleton's factory, ensuring timely and cost-effective execution.
- Provide daily input to the project back office and leadership team regarding timeline and progress of assigned manufacturing equipment.
- Execute calculations for manufacturing output according to overall scale-up requirements.
- Define product and process specifications, develop test plans, and implement them in production, defining and checking acceptance criteria for Formation.
- Successful completion of studies as an Engineer in Chemical engineering, Process engineering, Production engineering, or similar fields.
- 2-5 years of professional experience in the battery- or supercapacitor industry in big-scale production in Formation process area.
- Understanding of manufacturability studies.
- Previous experience with PFMEA processes and evaluation of manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and fix bugs.
- Previous experience in dealing with customer escalations.
- Business thinking and project management experience beneficial.
- Structured working style, focused.
- Strong will to solve process- and manufacturing problems, hands-on readiness to find solutions.
- Independent working style, friendly demeanor, and team-oriented approach.
- Willingness to go an extra mile, eager to learn and develop.
- Fluent English language skills, German a huge advantage.
