About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to join our team at Skeleton Technologies. As a key member of our Scale-Up team, you will play a crucial role in implementing and supporting the latest automation technologies for our future plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automation environments that align with our group strategy and standards.
  • Improve and maintain existing automation systems, ensuring seamless operation and integration.
  • Collaborate closely with various departments to drive automation and process development.
  • Support commissioning during the startup phase of new systems and machinery.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot system malfunctions, quality issues, and process problems.
  • Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in production, proposing partial or full automation solutions.
  • Implement and support the latest state-of-the-art technologies for future plant automation.
  • Communicate with suppliers to ensure compliance with group automation standards.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and monitor systems for optimal performance.
  • Develop and own specific work packages for automation projects.
  • Collaborate with machine suppliers to develop automation solutions that meet group standards.
Requirements
  • Hold a degree in Engineering, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a production environment, with a focus on automation solutions.
  • Proven experience in partial and full automation of manufacturing processes.
  • Strong programming skills in PLC, HMI, robotics, and industrial networks.
  • Experience with MES applications and industrial networks is a plus.
  • Demonstrate success in automation and project implementation.
  • Structured working style, with a focus on project delivery, time management, and budget control.
  • Fluent German and English language skills.
