We are working with a newly formed private equity firm, backed by a well-respected German family, which has successfully raised a fund of EUR 500 million. With a strong foundation in entrepreneurial ventures and extensive expertise in deal execution, this firm is focused on investing in robust, gradually growing mid-market enterprises within the agricultural technology, nutrition, and healthcare industries. Their strategy emphasizes a pan-European consolidation approach, collaborating closely with management teams to enhance business performance.

This emerging organization offers substantial growth potential for team expansion and deal-making activities, supported by a reliable annual cash flow. Its entrepreneurial structure promotes efficient and flexible processes, encourages team-based decision-making with a flat hierarchy, and allows for adaptability in deal volume and individual investment amounts.

As part of their team expansion in Hamburg, our client is currently in search of a proactive Senior Investment Executive. This role comes with significant responsibilities from the outset, providing a direct involvement in all phases of the investment cycle, including comprehensive due diligence processes leading to successful deal closures. This position presents ambitious candidates with the chance to shape their career trajectory within a highly entrepreneurial and value-oriented team environment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of new investment opportunities and oversee new portfolio companies.
  • Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities for the firm, taking on substantial responsibility for all stages of the deal process from initiation to completion.
  • Conduct financial and market analysis and manage all relevant due diligence activities.
  • Act as a representative for the firm and collaborate with management teams following investments.

Candidate Profile

  • Exceptional academic credentials.
  • Strong transactional experience from a strategic consulting or buy-side background, or similar relevant industry exposure.
  • Experience in the life sciences or healthcare sectors.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with management teams.
  • Solid financial analysis capabilities and strong business insight.
  • Dynamic, entrepreneurial spirit, and a driven approach, aligned with the existing team culture.
  • Fluency in both German and English is essential.
