Sea Freight Import Coordinator

Job Title: Sea Freight Import Coordinator
Company: Kühne+Nagel
As a Sea Freight Import Coordinator at our Hamburg location, you will be responsible for handling our Import LCL orders and ensuring a smooth transportation process. Your role will involve coordinating and processing LCL shipments and groupage containers in direct coordination with colleagues from Customer Service.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Import customs clearance using ATLAS and NCTS procedures
- Communication with shipping lines for the release of groupage containers and availability of import shipments
- Organization of cargo acceptances at receiving ports
- Follow-up coordination and documentation with transport companies
- Ensuring compliance with credit limit guidelines and data quality
- Analysis and ensuring effective and economical handling of transports
Requirements
- Completed training in forwarding and logistics services or a similar field with relevant work experience
- Practical experience in Sea Freight Import
- Ideal knowledge of customs clearance or willingness to learn with our support
- Very good knowledge of German and good knowledge of English
- Proficient in MS-Office, assertiveness, and resilience
- Team player with high quality and customer orientation
