Sea Freight Import Specialist

Job Summary:

As a member of our sea freight import team at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, you will play a crucial role in managing sea freight imports from suppliers to end customers. This involves close cooperation with customers, overseas offices, shipping companies, port operations, and other companies involved in transportation. Your tasks will include processing customer orders, supporting customers, ensuring trusting communication, organizing on-carriage transports, customs clearance, shipment tracking, and handling customer complaints and claims processes.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Process customer orders (FCL and LCL) in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Provide close support and cooperation with customers to ensure their needs are met.
  • Ensure trusting communication with overseas offices, shipping companies, port operations, and other companies involved in transportation.
  • Organize on-carriage transports, including coordination and monitoring of delivery dates.
  • Handle customs clearance, including customs clearance or NCTS-T1 preparation.
  • Track shipments and set tracking events.
  • Handle customer complaints and claims processes in a professional and timely manner.

Your Profile:
  • You have successfully completed your training in the field of forwarding/logistics.
  • You have gained initial professional experience in the field of sea freight import.
  • You are comfortable working with MS Office.
  • You love working in a team and have a high customer orientation.
  • Your way of working is proactive and solution-oriented.
  • You are fluent in German and have a good command of English.
