Semiconductor Research Specialist

As a Research Associate at Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, you will engage in cutting-edge research focused on semiconductor technologies. Your role will involve the following key responsibilities:
- Perform surface evaluations to assess the compatibility of semiconductor dielectric materials.
- Innovate methods for analyzing plasma interactions within contact systems.
- Utilize advanced analytics to scrutinize bond contacts.
- Refine diagnostic methods for error detection.
- Lead and contribute to research initiatives in both public and private sectors, concentrating on error diagnostics and microstructural analysis.
- Collaborate and maintain regular communication with project stakeholders and clients.
- Document research outcomes through comprehensive reports and publications.
- Participate in national and international conferences to share findings and foster scientific dialogue.
Qualifications
- A degree in Physics, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
- In-depth expertise in electron microscopy and surface analysis, along with experience in microstructural examination of semiconductor materials.
- Preferably, experience in (inter)national project collaboration, project management, and acquisition.
- Desirable: Knowledge in surface analysis, transmission electron microscopy, semiconductor fabrication processes (notably wafer bonding), and electrical engineering.
- A passion for interdisciplinary work and ongoing professional collaboration.
- Strong organizational capabilities to oversee diverse project tasks and timelines.
- Proficient communication skills in both German and English to convey ideas effectively to clients and colleagues.
