Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Computational Ecologist - Statistical Modelling Specialist to join our team in the European Union funded project "Biodiversity Meets Data". As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for developing and applying advanced statistical models to understand and predict ecological dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement statistical models to analyze large datasets and predict ecological outcomes
- Collaborate with our research team to develop and apply novel methods for data integration and model development
- Develop and maintain automated workflows for data processing and model implementation
- Communicate research findings through publications and presentations at international conferences
Requirements
- PhD in a relevant field, such as ecology, statistics, or environmental science
- Expertise in ecological statistics and scientific programming, with a strong background in Python, R, and Shiny
- Experience with parallel computing and high-performance computing environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
