Market Development Manager - Energy Transition & Oil Markets

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Market Development Manager to lead our drive to promote indexation to Argus fuels assessments across the refined products, biofuels, small-scale LNG, and hydrogen assessments in Germany and Northwest Europe. The successful candidate will partner with our oil products business development, editorial, and sales teams to drive prioritized initiatives around key market opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive usage of Argus price assessments and products
  • Identify new indexation opportunities and galvanize the organization to deliver them
  • Partner with editorial to manage and defend existing benchmarks, ensuring their continued usage and relevance
  • Identify and support delivery of new pricing solutions and products, acting as the voice of the customer
  • Demonstrate expertise on pricing and risk management issues
  • Develop and deliver a regional business development plan to meet sector strategy
  • Keep abreast of key changes in the oil products and biofuels markets to assess opportunities and risks
  • Deliver data-backed, fundamentals-driven market presentations to participants, with a view to promote pricing and other related data
  • Member of Regional Sector Leadership Team and key contributor on all aspects of sector strategy
  • Lead market engagement, mapping key influencers and maintaining effective relationships with them
  • Represent Argus in the market through external speaking events and thought leadership
  • Partner with sales through identifying customer segments and supporting effective commercialization
  • Hone effective messaging to promote Argus index solutions. Work with marketing to develop GTM plans
  • Identify opportunities to develop online transparency solutions, including, but not limited to, Argus Open Markets (AOM)
  • Identify and develop partnership opportunities to meet sector strategy
  • Collaborate with those covering parallel commodities to identify hybrid, cross-commodity opportunities
