Position Overview
The Risk division plays a crucial role in safeguarding the Bank's interests. With comprehensive oversight of credit, market, operational, and reputational risks, we possess a unique perspective that enables us to assess our businesses and clients holistically.
Leveraged Lending is an asset category defined by ECB regulations, necessitating specialized risk management. This area requires meticulous due diligence and monitoring procedures, including a specific scorecard for internal rating assessments.
In alignment with Deutsche Bank's strategy to provide Leveraged Lending solutions to large and medium-sized enterprises across Europe, the CRM Leveraged and Structured Finance team is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to enhance its European operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of new Leveraged Finance transactions, encompassing Leveraged Buyouts, Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) financing, Best-Effort transactions, and other related requests.
- Assess and authorize requests for foreign exchange, interest rate, and commodity derivatives, as well as transaction banking products.
- Review credit reports throughout the credit lifecycle, providing detailed recommendations and approvals, and presenting significant transactions to the Underwriting Committee.
- Make credit decisions within the designated authority limits.
- Engage in ongoing portfolio monitoring and ensure data accuracy within Deutsche Bank's technological systems.
- Lead or participate in various internal initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and supporting Deutsche Bank's strategic goals.
- Facilitate interactions with internal and external auditors and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Extensive experience in Leveraged Finance and/or Structured Finance sectors.
- Exceptional analytical abilities, including expertise in Leveraged Loan and High Yield structuring, financial modeling, and an understanding of derivative instruments.
- Strong capacity to make independent credit decisions.
- Ability to analyze complex data swiftly and make well-founded credit decisions.
- In-depth knowledge of Leveraged Lending policies and procedures applicable in banking environments.
- Capability to perform under pressure while managing multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and German.
