About the Role

Agilent is seeking a highly skilled and experienced LC-MS Application Specialist to join our Application Team in Germany. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the sales process by developing applications and demonstrating our instrumentation and workflows to customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply established methods to customer samples, transfer customer methods to Agilent instruments, and develop new application workflows as required.
  • Understand customer challenges, recommend solutions, and ensure highest customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate and position results to customers through presentations at scientific conferences, seminars, workshops, and user meetings.
  • Travel to customer sites to present results, implement methods, provide application consultancy, and deliver on-site customer training classes.
  • Participate in the design and delivery of sales training about LC-MS technology and related workflows.
  • Provide application and market expertise at every level of the value chain, internally and externally.
  • Interact with R&D departments to address current technologies and applications and incorporate requirements into upcoming products.
  • Maintain and expand critical domain knowledge, including latest scientific findings, market and technology trends, industry benchmarks, and regulations.
  • Work closely with sales teams to exceed LC-MS sales targets.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent (PhD preferred) with a strong focus on instrumental analysis.
  • Ideal knowledge and hands-on experience with LC-MS QQQ and LC-MS QTOF, its operation with focus on applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in the Applied Markets with focus on LC-MS method development and optimization.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and customer-facing skills.
  • Good team working skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently on projects.
  • Well-organized to meet deadlines while handling several different projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel (throughout Europe) up to 25% of the time.
  • Fluent verbal and written English skills, German language is a plus.
