Position Overview

The Procurement EMEALA Team is on the lookout for a seasoned professional to spearhead the development, planning, execution, and analysis of regional Strategic Procurement initiatives for designated Direct Materials. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring optimal quality and cost efficiency across our manufacturing facilities and operational hubs within the EMEALA region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement strategic procurement initiatives that align with Johnson Controls' global operations, ensuring measurable financial benefits.
  • Formulate and execute strategies aimed at enhancing productivity, minimizing costs, and boosting profitability while adhering to Trade Working Capital objectives.
  • Support regional procurement teams by providing strategic guidance and expertise.
  • Oversee supplier relationships, manage daily operations, and resolve issues effectively.
  • Collaborate with global business unit leaders to ensure alignment with strategic goals and the adoption of best practices.
  • Conduct research, negotiate terms, and engage service providers to facilitate plant operations.
  • Build strong relationships with regional procurement managers to leverage organizational expertise.
  • Establish performance evaluation frameworks and scorecards for business reviews.
  • Stay updated on market trends and regulatory developments impacting business operations, offering proactive insights on potential effects.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum of 5+ years of procurement experience in direct materials, ideally within the metals sector and in an international context.
  • Strong analytical capabilities for assessing cost structures across various regions.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills across multiple channels.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication abilities.
