Key Responsibilities:- Design, implement, and maintain store back office software solutions, ensuring their functionality, stability, and security.
- Develop new features and technologies to optimize store operations and increase management efficiency.
- Ensure code quality by applying best practices in software engineering.
- Collaborate with other teams, such as the Shop floor team (Point of Sale), to ensure smooth integration and operation of solutions.
- Integrate data from various sources to provide meaningful reports and dashboards for management.
- Collaborate with the testing team to ensure software quality through joint efforts.
- Actively participate in scrum activities, including sprint planning, stand-up meetings, Review, and retrospectives.
- Continuous improvement of development methods and technologies to continuously increase the efficiency and quality of work.
- Degree in computer science, business informatics, or a similar field, with several years of professional software development experience, ideally in point of sale or retail environments.
- Proficiency in C# (.NET), and modern JavaScript frameworks like Angular, with a strong understanding of development best practices including Git and version control.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Rancher, and database management (SQLite and MS SQL).
- Skilled in designing and implementing APIs with versioning best practices (including OpenAPI) and handling big data (archiving, administration, and interrogation).
- Knowledge of agile development methods, particularly Scrum, and excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Fluency in English is required; German language skills are a plus.
