About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Commodity Buyer. As a key member of our global procurement organization, you will be responsible for managing product groups and supplier portfolios, developing and implementing cross-location strategies, and conducting contract negotiations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage product groups and supplier portfolios, ensuring optimal supply chain performance and cost efficiency.
- Develop and implement cross-location product group strategies, aligning with company goals and objectives.
- Conduct contract negotiations and manage supplier relationships, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain expertise in SAP MM and eProcurement systems, ensuring seamless integration with our global procurement processes.
Requirements
- Completed studies in industrial engineering, business administration, or a comparable field.
- Several years of experience in global product group purchasing or project purchasing in an industrial company.
- Expertise in SAP MM and eProcurement systems, with initial experience in SAP S/4 HANA.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken German and English.
- Ability to work independently, with a hands-on mentality and a proactive approach.
