User Assistance Developer Technical Writer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled User Assistance Developer/Technical Writer to join our team at SAP. As a key member of our central team, you will be responsible for developing high-quality documentation for our SAP Cloud ALM platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive documentation for SAP Cloud ALM, including application help, in-app help, user interface texts, terminology work, how-to videos, and blog posts.
  • Collaborate closely with product management, user experience, and software development teams to gain a deep understanding of the product and its features.
  • Work in an agile Scrum mode, with daily updates and frequent personal exchange with the team.
  • Ensure cross-product consistency and support the central UA team in their daily work.

Requirements

  • 1 or more years of experience in technical writing in IT.
  • Degree in English studies, or English native speaker with excellent writing skills.
  • Fluent in German, with the ability to check German translations.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
  • Experience with GitHub is a plus.
  • Experience with development teams working in an agile/Scrum mode or in feature-driven, cloud-native development is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
