Non-Life Actuary

Join a Leading Global Insurer: We are currently seeking a skilled Non-Life Actuary with a deep understanding of IFRS 17 to contribute at the Group Level.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the actuarial framework by leveraging your expertise.
  • Develop and refine the core actuarial systems for calculating technical provisions in accordance with IFRS 17 and Solvency II within the non-life sector.
  • Oversee the management of data directories, databases, ETL processes, and the reservation platform, alongside ensuring the integrity of data quality checks and comprehensive reporting solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with the methodology team to extract technical requirements and assess the implications of technical and procedural changes, maintaining effective communication with development teams.
  • Engage regularly with stakeholders to manage their interests and requirements, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Provide training and support to both international and national units throughout the finalization processes.
  • Contribute your expertise to various projects, potentially in a leadership capacity.

Your Qualifications:

  • A motivated expert with a strong inclination towards technical solutions.
  • A degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, or a related quantitative field, ideally with membership in an actuarial association.
  • Extensive professional experience in non-life reserving, with a solid understanding of IFRS 17 accounting and familiarity with Solvency II.
  • Proficient in IT, with advanced skills in MS Office and programming languages such as R, VBA, and Java, along with knowledge of actuarial reserving software and databases.
  • Excellent command of English, with experience in agile IT methodologies or projects being a plus.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in international environments, possessing strong communication skills and a confident demeanor.
