Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering a positive and productive work environment across our distribution centers. You will partner with facility management to ensure fair and consistent employment practices, promote employee engagement, and resolve workplace issues effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Human Resources Business Partnering:
- Collaborate with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Provide guidance and support on a wide range of HR matters, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, and compensation and benefits.
- Communicate and train the organization on best practices related to employee relations.
- Facilitate workshops and other interventions to apply these practices to function-directed improvement initiatives.
- Align and embed HR strategies with other talent development initiatives within the Human Resources function, such as performance management goals and leadership development activities.
- Employee Relations Expertise:
- Model true business partnering behaviors and proactive engagement with business clients on all matters.
- Work with facility management to ensure a positive employee relations environment is in place.
- Coach, counsel, and train facility management on all aspects of positive employee relations.
- Ensure that all employment actions are completed fairly and consistently, in line with company values and policies.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Travel 30% to 50% of the time.
Experience and Required Skills
- 3-5 years of experience in a union facility environment.
- Proven experience implementing and managing positive employee relations practices.
