Exciting Opportunity for a Geologist / Earth Scientist
We at Holcim Kies und Splitt GmbH are committed to sustainability and responsible resource management. As a leading provider of innovative building materials, we are seeking a skilled Geologist / Earth Scientist to join our team.
Our company operates in a dynamic industry, and we require a professional who can navigate complex regulatory frameworks and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading projects in public law approval procedures, acquiring mining properties, and preparing expert opinions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies for sustainable resource management, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and permits.
- Collaborate with regional management to acquire mining properties and replacement areas, leveraging expertise in spatial planning and raw materials extraction.
- Prepare and communicate expert opinions on environmental and mining-related matters, utilizing strong analytical and communication skills.
- Monitor compliance with permit conditions and ensure effective stakeholder engagement.
- Act as a liaison between regional stakeholders, competent authorities, and departments, fostering strong relationships and resolving conflicts.
Requirements
- Hold a degree in Earth Sciences (Geology, Hydrogeology, Geography, Hydrology) and possess extensive experience in conducting approval procedures in the raw materials industry.
- Be proficient in PC applications such as SAP, MS-Office, and Google Workspace, with strong writing and communication skills.
- Demonstrate independent, conscientious, and goal-oriented work approach, with confidence in challenging situations.
- Exhibit flexibility, teamwork, and resilience, with a strong commitment to sustainability and responsible resource management.
