About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at PALTRON GmbH. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in the conception, development, and implementation of data engineering processes on our Schunk Data Platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of scalable data platforms using big data engineering technologies such as Spark/PySpark, SQL, and NoSQL.
  • Design and implement complex data pipelines in collaboration with data scientists and software experts.
  • Develop sophisticated data integrations of systems on-prem, in the Azure cloud, and in the IoT area.
  • Ensure uniform principles and standards of ETL processes and identify opportunities for optimization.

Requirements

  • Expertise in big data engineering with relevant technologies.
  • Experience working in the cloud environment, ideally with MS Azure (Databricks, Data Factory, Data Lake).
  • Sound knowledge in the development of ETL processes, including interface connection.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and data governance processes is an advantage.
  • Experience working in an international environment and business fluent in English.
