About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Software Development - Life Science to lead our cross-site technological software development activities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading an organization of 60+ people, ensuring their engagement and development. You will provide project content, timelines, financial planning, and resources via project management.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

  • You have a technical or scientific degree alongside numerous years of experience in software development, project work as well as people management
  • You have the ability to lead and motivate your team and you are experienced in managing managers
  • You have a very good understanding of software development for complex scientific instruments including programming and system design
  • You are customer orientated, possess good communication skills and a good understanding of the business contexts
  • You are fluent in English with a good understanding of German
