Telecommunications Sales Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sales Manager to join our team at Corning Incorporated. As a Sales Manager for Telecommunications, you will be responsible for maximizing sales and margin for all assigned Corning Optical Communications' products to the Enterprise Network market in the allocated region.
Key Responsibilities- Maximize Sales and Margin: Develop and implement a territory plan to achieve sales targets and increase market share.
- Lead Generation and Relationship Building: Identify new opportunities, position and specify Corning's solutions, and develop and maintain relationships with end users, distribution channels, and installers.
- Sales Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets, and adjust sales techniques according to interactions and results in the field.
- Product Knowledge and Training: Establish and maintain sufficient product knowledge of Corning Optical Communications' products and their applications to recognize opportunities and communicate internally to achieve maximum advantage.
- Communication and Reporting: Communicate competitive information obtained from all sources to specific Product Line Managers, Marketing, and Sales, and maintain and update Account Plans, Opportunities, and activities for allocated region in the respective CRM database.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (technical) or equivalent, and 3 or more years of sales experience preferably in the same industry, with proven success rate at levels above sales quota.
- Skills and Qualifications: Strong technical/product/industry knowledge, excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills, and very good German and English language skills.
- Flexibility and Travel: High flexibility and willingness for 3 to 4 days of business travel per week.
