Expert Accounts Payable Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Expert Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team at BASF Services Europe GmbH. As a key member of our Accounts Payable & Freight Cost Management unit, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and optimizing specialist processes, driving them to SAP S4, and ensuring a global and end-to-end orientation along the procure-to-pay process chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead major projects segments, gathering, reviewing, and proposing requirements for rollout and project implementation measures.
- Collaborate with product owners, internal & external stakeholders to guarantee gatekeeping and provide solutions that enable transparency, understanding, and success of project waves.
- Communicate efficiently and effectively with all involved parties about project status, gaps, issues, risks, knowledge, and business needs.
- Monitor KPIs and trends together with dedicated experts.
- Continuously expand expertise, share knowledge with colleagues, and participate in expert communities.
Requirements
- Strong purchase-to-pay process knowledge, technical proficiency, and ideally first experiences in leading projects & processes.
- Very good user skills in MS environment, SAP R/3 FI & MM.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English, with other languages being an advantage.
- A passion for developing yourself and others, keeping the interests of the company and our service unit in mind, and communicating openly and clearly.
