Job Title: Gelato Server

About the Role:

We're seeking a skilled Gelato Server to join our team at The Gelato Fiasco, Inc. in Portland, Maine. As a Gelato Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, scooping high-quality gelato and sorbetto, and maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and making recommendations to customers
  • Scoop gelato and sorbetto with attention to detail and presentation
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the front of the house and back of the house areas
  • Participate in cross-training opportunities to serve at our summertime Gelato Truck or at catering events
  • Work collaboratively with the team to achieve sales goals and provide a memorable customer experience

Requirements:

  • One year of customer service experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures
  • 18+ years preferred due to scheduling complexity, but skilled and enthusiastic 16-17 year-old applicants can be considered
