Sales Director

Hunter Douglas is seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead our Ceiling Solutions team in Germany and Austria. As a key member of our Area Management team in the Netherlands, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for our ceiling products in Germany and Austria, aligned with the overall business objectives of HD Architectural.
- Lead and manage a small, dedicated sales team, providing guidance, support, and professional development to maximize team performance.
- Establish and strengthen relationships with architects, ensuring that Hunter Douglas ceilings are specified in major projects.
- Work closely with installers and contractors to convert specifications into successful sales, providing technical support and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Proven track record in sales, preferably in the ceiling business or otherwise in the sales of building materials.
- Proven experience in sales management.
- Strong network and relationships within the architecture and construction sector.
- Strategic thinker with a proven track record of developing and executing growth strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
- Fluent in both German and English.
