Role Overview
We are seeking an analytical and proactive Category Manager to join our dynamic and diverse Category and Purchasing team. In this role, you will oversee the largest category - Fragrance - from a strategic perspective within the online beauty sector.
Your Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the category & purchasing team to ensure optimal commercial performance of the fragrance category, overseeing all user interactions.
- Understand your KPIs and manage a P&L effectively.
- Monitor and report on the status and health of your product assortment, ensuring a deep understanding of the category's unique characteristics.
- Utilize your strong analytical skills to derive insights and transform customer, market, and competitive data into actionable strategies.
- Evaluate market opportunities to enhance the product assortment, including seasonal items, limited editions, and potential new brands.
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration with purchasing counterparts and stakeholders in pricing, campaigns, retail media, and supply chain to ensure category attractiveness and availability.
- Enhance the shopping experience by providing category-specific expertise to optimize navigation, category pages, filters, and product detail pages.
Your Profile
- Extensive experience managing a commercial category in a fast-paced e-commerce environment, preferably in beauty, lifestyle, or fashion.
- Strong understanding of KPIs and their impact on business performance.
- Proficient in managing day-to-day operations related to assortment and inventory.
- Focused on streamlining processes and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Proactive mindset aimed at driving financial success and achieving KPIs.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build networks and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Fluency in both German and English.
