User Experience Designer

Position Overview

As a User Experience Designer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our users enjoy seamless interactions with our products. Your expertise will guide the design process, focusing on user satisfaction and engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with product management to:
    • Identify user requirements
    • Facilitate team understanding of the challenges we aim to address
    • Create sophisticated design solutions
  • Craft responsive web experiences using tools like Figma and Sketch to develop high-quality wireframes, prototypes, concept sketches, and user flows.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, and product managers, to deliver user-centric digital products and services.
  • Employ structured creativity to make informed design decisions based on both quantitative and qualitative insights.
  • Conduct design experiments (such as prototypes and lean features) to learn quickly and focus resources on effective solutions.
  • Iterate and enhance designs by measuring success and striving for optimal user experiences.
  • Inspire and motivate the team with a compelling vision of future possibilities.
  • Lead the Discovery and Product Design initiatives, guiding teams through the complete design process from challenge framing to implementation, ensuring smooth collaboration with technical teams.
  • Exhibit proficiency in agile methodologies, working within agile teams, and producing thorough design documentation.
Qualifications
  • Several years of experience in Digital Product Design.
  • Initial experience in leading design initiatives and workstreams.
  • Demonstrated success in evaluating and defining Customer Journeys for complex projects.
  • Ability to create research and usability briefs, validate research methods, and translate findings into actionable design iterations.
  • Fluency in English and B1/B2 German, with strong communication skills to engage stakeholders and convey design decisions effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a startup environment, particularly from inception.
  • Background in the media industry.
