Position Overview

The Director of Employee Experience, focusing on Career Development, is tasked with defining and enhancing the overarching strategy for employee engagement, processes, and technologies related to all Talent functions (such as Succession Planning, Engagement, Learning, etc.). This role is integral to the Employee Experience Leadership team, working collaboratively to ensure cohesive Talent Management across various HR domains (including Talent Acquisition, Rewards & Performance, etc.). The position is responsible for setting both immediate and long-term objectives to consistently enhance and refine the employee experience on a global scale. The Director will oversee experience-specific HR processes and technologies, leading projects aimed at optimizing these experiences through improved processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities

Vision, Strategy & Leadership

  • Define the specific employee experience domain of 'Career Development' and ensure its integration into a comprehensive employee experience and Talent Management framework.
  • Forward-thinking; spearhead the future direction of Career Development, including process and system advancements, while envisioning what is achievable and desirable.
  • Foster training, personal growth, professional development, and teamwork among direct reports.
  • Establish a future-oriented and inspiring agenda for the Career Development sector as a thought leader, both internally and externally.
  • Manage the technology that supports the Career Development area (e.g., Workday).

Operational Execution

  • Act as the experience owner for all processes within Career Development.
  • Shape experience-specific HR technologies, including Learning, Succession, and Skills/Talent modules.
  • Support the portfolio process (planning and utilization) and prioritize technology and process-related initiatives.
  • Serve as Project Sponsor for relevant projects within the experience area.
  • Measure the success of the Career Development area by defining appropriate performance metrics and service level agreements.
  • Provide guidance and direction on the specific Employee Experience area to the respective Shared Services Team Leads.
  • Collaborate with the Talent & Engagement Center of Excellence to ensure alignment between frameworks and strategies of the Employee Experience area.

Continuous Improvement

  • Promote a culture of collaboration through the delivery of an integrated employee experience.
  • Establish performance standards for the Employee Experience area by defining and monitoring KPIs and SLAs.
  • Anticipate market trends specific to the Employee Experience area to drive continuous improvement through system and process enhancements.
  • Work alongside HR Centers of Excellence and HR Business Leaders to understand and implement quality standards specific to the employee experience.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Strong background in talent processes such as talent planning, strategic talent reviews, engagement surveys, and learning.
  • Experience in a multinational organization is ideal.
  • Familiarity with Workday is preferred.
  • Experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Business consulting experience is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Results-oriented, highly organized, and detail-focused approach to work with a commitment to excellence.
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.
