Your Role:
As the Head of Supplier Quality Management for our Rolling Stock Components division, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality standards across our global supply chain. You will lead a team of 8 dedicated professionals responsible for developing and maintaining a robust supplier base that consistently delivers exceptional products and services.
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive supplier quality management strategy aligned with our business objectives, fostering long-term partnerships with key suppliers.
- Risk Management & Audits: Conduct thorough risk evaluations, assessments, and audits of potential and existing suppliers to ensure compliance with international rail industry standards (IRIS) and internal requirements.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate closely with engineering teams, suppliers, and your team to identify opportunities for process optimization and product quality enhancement, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Team Development & Management: Provide technical and disciplinary guidance to your team, fostering a culture of excellence and professional growth through ongoing training and development programs.
Your Profile:
You possess a strong technical background with a Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, coupled with extensive experience in supply chain management, quality management, or manufacturing within the rail industry. Your proven track record as an auditor (ideally VDA6.3 certified) and your expertise in FMEA, 8Ds, and other quality management methodologies will be invaluable assets.
Furthermore, you demonstrate exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels. Your fluency in German and English, along with a willingness to travel internationally (approximately 40%), will contribute to your success in this role.
