We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to join our team at Maersk. As a Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing compliance advice and supporting the Compliance regional team on the implementation and monitoring of Maersk's Compliance Program.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in providing compliance advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on compliance obligations and best practices.
- Monitor international regulatory changes and communicate relevant updates with the regional team and stakeholders.
- Assist in devising solutions to align business and compliance needs.
- Establish and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Support the regional compliance team in the implementation and upkeep of clear standards of business and ethical conduct (Compliance framework) aligned with Maersk Values and Commitment rules.
- Collaborate and assist in executing compliance activities and projects (e.g., conduct integrity and compliance background checks & screenings for Third Parties Due Diligence).
- Promote the effectiveness of the compliance program in the area.
- Support and drive the compliance network and community.
- Assist with risk assessments, performance, and reporting.
- Support the Maersk Compliance team with audit requests.
- Support transaction testing in the area.
- Assist the regional team with any other ad-hoc tasks/projects.
- Bachelor's degree required; A degree in business administration, economics, management, or law or an equivalent.
- Legal qualification or experience or related discipline will be an advantage.
- Excellent written and verbal skills in English.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Compliance related-fields.
- Knowledge of anti-corruption compliance regulations (e.g. FCPA, UK Bribery Act, and German Supply Chain Legislation).
- Experience in assisting in the implementation and maintenance of a Compliance Program for corruption prevention, sanctions, and export controls.
- Experience in conducting integrity due diligence, training, and investigations.
- Excellent intercultural, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Project coordinator and stakeholder management experience.
- Highly motivated and detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Professional report writing and presentation skills.
- Be a trusted adviser and business partner.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Unwavering ethics & integrity in a competitive and demanding work environment.
