Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager Subsurface to join our team at Kimberlite Consulting GmbH. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies for our subsurface operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies for subsurface operations, including drilling rigs, decommissioning services, and OCTG.
  • Support the Team Lead of Procurement Subsurface in monitoring supplier markets, creating demand forecasts, analyzing expenditures, evaluating suppliers, and identifying value creation opportunities.
  • Implement procurement activities, including agreeing on final specifications, setting commercial terms, defining critical performance factors, managing tender processes, evaluating bids, conducting final negotiations, and preparing standard contract templates.
  • Coordinate between the project and procurement organization, supporting the project organization in finding solutions to procurement-related project issues, and managing non-conformities.
  • Establish a clear and frequent purchasing presence of procurement in the operations, communicate procurement strategies within BU Germany, and execute and administer contracts.
  • Manage supplier relationships, monitor supplier performance, continuous improvement and/or supplier development, obtain supplier feedback, reduce costs associated with poor quality and unproductive times, and optimize procurement processes.

Requirements:
  • Master's degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field of study (economics, engineering, law) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a position as a strategic buyer (procurement/supply chain) or alternatively substantial experience in procurement and contract management.
  • Proactive team player, solution-oriented, self-motivated, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, analytical and systematic approach to work, comprehensive knowledge/understanding of markets and categories in the subsurface area, intercultural awareness, very good negotiation skills, fluent in English, commitment to the company's HSE policies and principles, responsible conduct, and compliance with the company's HSE and quality requirements.
