**Duties**:

- Serves as a shift Watch Officer assigned to the 2d Theater Signal Brigade’s European DoDIN Operations Center (EDOC).
- Incumbent is the principal point of contact for all network monitoring, network event/alarms identification, reporting, and resolution coordination for the European Theater networks.
- Analyzes, tracks, and coordinates Authorized Service Interruptions for the theater, to include all events impacting Command, Component, operating, and tactical locations and other identified key terrain - cyber.
- Advises the EDOC Chief on problems affecting any of the networks or systems and makes recommendations for the resolution of such problems.
- Prepares data products capturing the respective networks, communication systems, service, and devices in the European and African area of operations and responsibility.

- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This position requires the incumbent to hold IAM level II certification under DoD Directive 8570.1 (IA Training and Workforce Management) and related implementing policies.
- Incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required certification/recertification for this position as outlined in DoD Publication 8570.01-M
- Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, dated 19 December 2005 (incorporating Change 1, 15 May 2008)
- This position is designated mission essential. Employee may be required to remain on duty or report for duty during severe weather or other installation closings.
- May be required to work overtime and other than normal duty hours which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Call back and emergency duty are regular requirements of this position.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain SECRET security clearance eligibility. The IT classification for this position is IT-III. This position is designated as Non-Critical Sensitive.
- Up to 10% Temporary Duty Travel is required.

- May be required to carry a Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) cellular device.
- Must possess and maintain a valid stateside driver's license.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a USAREUR Driver's license within 60 days of employment.
- Duties of the position may/will require shifted work hours based on operational or mission requirements. Permanent change of shift may/will be at the determination of the second level supervision.
- The incumbent may also be on an "on-call" status on a rotational basis.

- Current DoD Employees: If a current permanent CES employee, you shall be granted administrative return rights. If not a current permanent CES employee, you may be granted administrative return rights if agreed to by your CONUS organization.
- In accordance with DoD CES Personnel System Implementation Guidance for Overseas Rotations and Administrative Return Rights, employees must be able to satisfy the rotation requirement and tour limitations in DoD Instruction 1400.25 Volume 1230.

- The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:
