Teamlead Contitech-production Equipment Purchasing

Your tasks
We are looking for a Department-Head “ContiTech-Product Equipment Purchasing” in our Product Equipment Purchasing team (PEP) in Hannover. In this role you lead a group of inspired Global Category Managers in multiple locations responsible for global sourcing of Machines (incl. related Services), Equipment with a value >100k€ and Goods with special strategic interest for the Business Sector ContiTech. You and your team define the frame to ensure the longterm strategic development of a global supplier portfolio in order to support the ww ContiTech Plants and -Facilites. You act as an entrepeneur and challenge your own team, internal customers and related stakeholders to increase value for the cooperation
In detail your tasks will be:
- Overall responsibility for the global supplier
- and machine group sourcing strategy for the ContiTech machine groups. Special focus will be on introduction of all aspects of Responsible Value Chain in the sourcing strategy, total cost of ownership and the supply-security by building up alternative global sources
- Disciplinary Management and individual development of the Global Category Managers located in multiple locations
- Mandatory Management Escalation and finalization of complex negotiations in critical, political or strategic situations
- Define and/or optimize internal processes together with the PEP Management Team and/or related stakeholders with the target to achieve highest efficiency
- Leading and/or initiating projects with special interest for Production Equipment Purchasing and/or related stakeholder departments
- Identification and lifting synergies between ContTech and TIRES Indirect Material Sourcing
**Profile**:
- Degree in Engineering, Economy, Economic Engineering or similar
- Several years working
- and negotiation experience in an international environment, preferably in Purchasing-, Sales
- or Engineering functions
- Experience within various departments preferred
- Experience in Purchasing preferred
- First leadership experience necessary
- Successfully worked in international projects and has experience with different teams
- Basic knowledge in Controlling and relevant Law for Purchasing necessary.
- Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel etc.) necessary
- Very good English language skills (written and spoken) necessary
- Traveling (up to 30%) needed
