Team Lead Quality Assurance: Nanotube Department

Responsibility:
Accountability for all aspects of the Nanotube Department including project management, departmental Quality Assurance and interface and coordination with Manufacturing.
**Tasks**:
- Provide direction to the Emitter Production Team, with emphasis on quality and precision in the execution of production processes.
- Work in the implementation of highly sensitive laboratory processes, with attention to quality execution.
- Be accountable for each production process and corresponding steps, while always looking for continuous improvement including the automation of manual tasks.
- Own Vendor Management, qualifying suppliers by reviewing their parameters and test results, and working with third parties to define tolerances of tooling and fixtures..
- Participate with the team in performing all tasks related to the production of nanotube NT emitters and identifying areas of improvement and potential risks.
- Oversee the QA function for your department which includes:
Inventory Management and Procurement.
Risk analysis and definition of mitigation plans to avoid problems such as contamination and misalignment.
Identification of appropriate corrective actions to improve production processes and implement corrective actions.
Accountability the successful results of quality assurance measures, as executed by the QA Technician and team members.
Implementation of a sound inspection process after each production step, with quantifiable acceptance criteria.
- By examining data, assist the team in the creation of reports including, but not limited to, root cause analysis, field emission testing and inspection reports, that lead to the implementation of improvements.
- Help the NT Department become more mature as VEC moves from Prototype Development to manufacturing.
- Contribute with troubleshooting and root cause analysis on issues / problems that arise during the pre-production, production and post production processes.
- Review and understand product requirements and specifications to aid in identification of potential issues or risks, when developing emitter modules
- Support internal and external audit for ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
Your profile:
- Able to motivate teams through change.
- Completed vocational training as a chemical laboratory assistant or CTA (M/F/d).
- Professional experience in a chemical laboratory.
- Good understanding of production processes, work systems and analysis methods.
- Professional experience in the construction and operation of laboratories and laboratory equipment.
- Some knowledge of quality assurance practices and/or ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 13485 is advantageous.
- Experience working in a multli-cultural environment.
- Excellent Interpersonal skills and can effectively work with multidisciplinary teams.
- Good command of written and spoken English. Good command of German is also an advantage.
- You have a structured and goal-oriented way of working.
- You are highly motivated and willing to bring the company forward.
- You have organizational talent and work in a disciplined manner.
