As part of the implementation of inclusive education, the state of Lower Saxony is providing considerable funding for the qualification of teaching staff to expand inclusive and special needs education teaching and research opportunities. The Institute of Special Needs Education and Rehabilitation is therefore being gradually expanded to include additional special needs education professorships. You will have the opportunity to actively participate in and help shape a dynamic development process in an appealing research and teaching environment.
- diagnostics, evidence-based support and didactics for students with pragma-communicative impairments;
- diagnostics, evidence-based support and didactics for students with speech impairments associated with profound developmental disorders, genetic syndromes or hearing disorders;
- diagnostics, evidence-based support and didactics for participation and involvement in education processes with limited linguistic-communicative competences.
Proven experience in the independent acquisition and implementation of third-party funding projects is required. Applicants should have also published relevant articles in national and international journals.
Participation in interdisciplinary collaborative or joint projects and international experience in research and teaching are required. Furthermore, practical experience with special needs education support in schools or outside schools is desirable.
As the University of Oldenburg and the University of Bremen are bound by a cooperation agreement, active participation in the cooperation is expected.
Prerequisites for employment are specified in section 25 of the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (NHG). Applicants must have completed a university degree in special needs education with a specialisation in language and communication or have an equivalent qualification (e.g., rehabilitation with a specialisation in special needs speech and language education, academic linguistics or speech sciences).
