MSF-Germany creates a new unit for talent attraction and people development combining existing and new positions under one roof. We are committed to attract and develop a diverse and inclusive workforce. As Head of Unit you provide strategic direction and assure high quality implementation of measures related to attraction, development and wellbeing of people working for MSF-Germany as a modern and leading organisation in the non profit sector.

In your role you will
- Build up, connect and lead a team of highly motivated colleagues by developing their competencies with regular feedback and support to their professional development and contributions
- give strategic orientation and take overarching decisions with regards to the unit, prioritize and delegate work and coordinate the planning and allocation of resources
- orient your work on the staffing needs of medical operational humanitarian projects, F2F fundraising campaigns and units in MSF-G offices and our commitment for a diverse and inclusive workforce
- Increase visibility of MSF Germany as a purpose driven non profit employer and attract relevant target groups through employer branding and HR marketing initiatives
- Develop and implement people development, well being and retention concept supporting MSF strategic ambitions and strengthening a continuous learning culture
- Lead the strengthening of performance empowerment and feedback culture based on MSF Transversal competency dictionary, wellbeing concept as well as the MSF-G cultural framework.
- Bring the competence, skills and knowledge of team members together to effectively and efficiently address the organization's recruiting and development needs for the future

You Have
- Significant experience within the majority of the area under responsibility of the unit
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position
- As key competencies: Strategic visioning, Service orientation, Planning and organising, Leadership, People management and development, Equity Diversity and inclusion
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, flexible and an effective organiser
- Experience in humanitarian or non-profit contexts desired
- Fluent in written and oral English as well as good knowledge of German

- Payment according to a transparent internal salary structure; in this position according to group 6 with full-time employment (40h/week) from 4.638 Euro to a maximum of 5.870, depending on the relevant professional experience
