Berlin, Deutschland Hertie School of Governance Vollzeit

The Hertie School in Berlin prepares exceptional students for leadership positions in government, business, and civil society. The school offers master’s programmes, executive education and doctoral programmes, distinguished by interdisciplinary and practice-oriented teaching, as well as outstanding research. Its extensive international network positions it as an ambassador of good governance, characterised by public debate and engagement. The school was founded in 2003 by the Hertie Foundation, which remains its major funder. The Hertie School is accredited by the state and the German Science Council.

We seek to fill the following position as soon as possible:
**Associate Alumni Affairs (gn)**

full-time (40 hours/week), permanent contract.

Your work will support our goal to build a vibrant, global community by fostering meaningful, lifelong relationships with over 2,350 Hertie School alumni in nearly 100 countries around the world.

Your tasks:
**You are responsible for the following work packages**:
**Communications & events**
- Design and further development of our annual communications and events plan in cooperation with Alumni Affairs Director.
- Assist the planning and delivery of the annual alumni reunion, local chapter, and Interest Area events.

**Data management and reporting**
- Track and update alumni records and track engagement; prepare annual Graduate Footprint report and other bespoke reports for relevant units and the leadership.
- Support the maintenance and further development of the alumni database, mailing software and alumni social media channels.
- Support the research and development of a new Client Relationship Management (CRM) and volunteer engagement tracking and delivery of recognition programme.

**Operations and organisation**
- Administrative support to the Alumni Affairs Director.
- Devise and maintain systems and processes that facilitate efficient planning and timely delivery of activities.
- Build credibility and good working relationships with colleagues across Hertie School.

Your profile:
**Core requirements**
- University degree in social sciences or humanities
- 2-3 years of professional experience in an international environment, preferably in the (Higher) Education sector
- Excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in event and project management
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management systems
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Analytical mindset and ability to interpret data
- Basic knowledge of financial management and budget administration
- Full working proficiency of English and German (C1 or above)
- Confident and self-motivated personality, with the ability to relate to people from different cultural and professional backgrounds
- Resilient, able to work calmly under pressure in a target-driven environment

**Desirable qualifications**
- Knowledge in managing networks and/or volunteers
- Knowledge of additional major language is a plus
