**Duties**:
As a Supervisory Intelligence Operations Specialist you will be responsible for the following duties:

- Serve as the senior Security & Counterintelligence Office representative in assigned areas of responsibility and reports to the DTRA Chief of Security & Counterintelligence. Incumbent has responsibility for the leadership, management and supervision of all joint military, civilian, and contract employees assigned to the Field Office.
- Ensure DTRA security, intelligence, and counterintelligence programs are developed, implemented, and evaluated for effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance by DTRA components within assigned area of responsibility.
- Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjust priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work. Assign work based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of the assignment, and the capabilities of the employees. Make decision on work products and evaluates the work performance of subordinates.
- Provide counterintelligence support to arms control treaty missions and activities. Based on information and knowledge of FISS and arms control processes, incumbent identifies trends and provides predictive assessments of future behavior of foreign inspectors and escorts during the performance of arms control inspection activities. Recommend various countermeasures in an effort to mitigate and counter collection efforts of foreign inspectors during the conduct of arms control activities.

**Qualifications**:

- STANDARDS FOR THE SERIES HERE FROM OPM QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS): Intelligence Series 0132 (opm.gov) for OPM qualification standards, competencies and specialized experience needed to perform the duties of the position as described in the MAJOR DUTIES and QUALIFICATIONS sections of this announcement by 05/22/2023
- You must have one year Specialized Experience equivalent to the
- **GS-12** level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private/military sector) giving the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position. Experience must be reflected in your resume.
- Specialized experience required for this position is:

- Manage a multidiscipline security and counterintelligence support program for an organization.
- Provide counterintelligence support to arms control treaty missions and activities.
- Organize and conduct major CI research projects and/or manage CI production and analysis.
- Lead, manages plan, and execute administration and personnel management functions related to the accomplishment of the assigned mission of the organization

INFORMATION FOR OVERSEAS: Overseas tour of duty for Kaiserslautern, Germany is projected to be 36 months.- Applicants who are currently stationed overseas, must have enough time to meet the initial tour stated above.
- Applicants who have returned from an overseas tour, and have not been physically present in the United States (CONUS) or Non foreign area for 2 continuous years, may require a waiver. **NOTE**:If you have not completed 5 years overseas and return to a CONUS assignment, that time spent overseas counts towards the 5 year limitation, unless you have been in the States for at least 2 continuous years.
