Global Head of Business Management Microsurgery

Your Role- The incumbent of this role manages the Business Management team in charge of global implementation of the strategy and product launches of the Microsurgery (MCS) portfolio- In addition, Business Management ensures a sales support infrastructure for all subsidiaries and distributor managers globally and ensures upstream commuication to continuously provide market intel to the organization- A special focus is on sales development for new business models, digital sales and the positioning of the MCS portfolio along clinical workflows- Business Management interfaces with all other operative functions, especially demand management and capacity planning- The job holder ensures the flawless communication and operations to central functions like production, order management, regulatory affairs, service and quality assurance- Leadership Guiding, motivating and developping subordinates according to ZEISS leadership culture- Cultivating and promoting the ZEISS culture and company values Developping and communicating a clear strategy and processes for Business Management- Establishing metrics to assess individual and team performance and managing performance and develop employees effectively- Pursuing an open feedback culture within the team and inside the entire organization Marketing Strategy- Executing the global marketing strategy and their regional adaption according to local needs and opportunities; creating and executing local marketing plans in accordance with the global strategy- Closely collaborating with the Strategic Marketing team for Microsurgery on development and consistent execution of downstream marketing activities- Managing local product launches worldwide and ensuring country readiness according to the Product Launch- Process Collaborating with local Sales and Marketing Management and Regional Sales Heads- Developping concepts and programs that drive sales and accelerate existing opportunities in the sales funnel, such as campaigns, alternative financing solutions, etc.- Sales Management Pursuing a data-driven sales approach- Ensuring sales readiness in all target markets according to launch plans and global marketing plans- Advicing on local price setting and supporting price execution in global markets- Supporting activities to fill and improve sales funnel in agreement with funnel responsibles- Providing tactical, clinical and technical sales support to sales channels- Executing on phase-out plans Driving the use of data-based tools such as CRM and CPQ globally- Implemeting routines to opimize the use of working capital- Deploying and further developping rule to prioritize production capacities according to business needs Sales Development and Competitive Intelligence- Regularly consolidating market feedback on competition, pricing, trends, market/business opportunities and facilitating market understanding throughout the Business Unit- Ensuring sales readiness of all channels for new products- Building infrastructures for new business models and digital sales Quality improvement and building networks- Managing and monitoring internal and external processes, procedures and systems, suggesting continuous improvement and ensuring that available resources are used efficiently- Take leadership in group-wide programs on sales excellence- Representing the Microsurgery Sales Team in internal leadership circles and decision-making panels
Your Profile- Education University degree in a technical or business-related field or graduation from a higher institution, or equivalent- Postgraduate degree in Business Administration is a plus- Work Experience minimum of 7 years of relevant sales management or marketing experience, minimum of 2 years of experience in people management- High set social and leadership skills and ability to act as a cultural ambassador within the organization- High motivation to build and develop diverse and powerful teams-
- Well connected internally and externally within respective segments with thorough understanding of local business attitudes and cultur Healthcare and especially reimbursement systems- Detailed knowledge of local markets and market drivers, ideally proficient knowledge of major local languages and culture- Exceptional organizational, analytical and problem solving skills, including the ability to analyze relevant financials- High level intercultural acumen and experience Language requirements- Must be fluent in business English German is a plus
