The job
Our research addresses fundamental questions of _biodiversity in a changing world_ and integrates coexistence mechanisms, species’ functional 'traits, and global change science. The envisioned research for this position is in the area of developing and testing ecology theory.
Your tasks
- Develop and/or test ecological theory, using mathematical and/or computational methods
- Publication and presentation of research results.

**Profile**:
- Mechanistic species interactions and community assembly
- Ecological dimensionality
- Dynamic process models coupled to data
- Modeling diversity and function from first principles & theory
- The postdoc will be encouraged to pursue their own research questions that are related to biodiversity and ecosystem processes. Interest in collaboration is also desired.
- PhD with background in theoretical and/or quantitative biodiversity research
- Programming skills (e.g., C, R, Python or other applicable language)
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English
