We are looking for a highly motivated electronics research technician to join our international research team at the Institute for Diabetes and Obesity (IDO) of the (HDC) in Munich. Helmholtz Munich is a member of one of the leading research associations in Europe - the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centers.

Your tasks
- Design, construction, and installation of a microscopy platform for in vivo imaging of calcium kinetics in cells and tissue slides
- Operation and maintenance of imaging systems
- Writing of software for scientific equipment
- Troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of electronic and scientific equipment used in a variety of experiments (e.g., luminescence and fluorescence plate readers, extracellular flux analyzer, robotic stations, standard chemical laboratory apparatus, temperature controllers, centrifuges, and water bath)
- Organization and maintenance of laboratory stocks in liquid nitrogen tanks
- Training of laboratory members
**Profile**:
- Diploma in electrical and electronic engineering, or equivalent
- Good knowledge of physics and electrical systems
- Good verbal and written communication in German
- Self-motivation, initiative and dependability as a team player
- Willingness to learn new laboratory techniques and work with mouse models

If you fulfil all the requirements, you may be eligible for a salary grade of up to E 9a. Social benefits are based on the Collective Wage Agreement for Public-Sector Employees (TVöD). The position has an (initial) fixed term of 2 years but may be extended under certain circumstances.
