About the Role

You’re experienced as a technical artist in real-time game engines, specifically Unreal and Unity. You can work directly with creatives and leadership to build flexible, high quality, and technically sound prototypes. You passionately care about delivering excellence alongside your team. You are dedicated to continually expanding and improving your skillset as technology rapidly moves forward. You can find creative solutions in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.

We are Icon Incar, an automotive experience design studio committed to creating immersive in car experiences with some of the biggest car makers on the planet. You will work closely with engineers, user-interface, and user-experience designers to build interactive prototypes in Unreal or Unity. Our teams are structured to work as small pods of experts that execute on the design vision of our team and the clients. We need someone who’s loves solving creative and technical problems from concepts to prototypes to production

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with engineers, designers, and artists to create interactive prototypes in Unity and Unreal
- Material Creation - Create performant materials in Unreal or Unity that reflect the creative briefs and can work within hardware requirements.
- UI / UX - Working with Unity and Unreal’s UI systems for interactive prototypes.
- Pipeline and Tools - Develop pipelines and tools that bridge the gap between Figma, Protopie, Cinema 4D, and game engines.
- 3D Assets - Import and optimize 3D assets from automotive clients to work inside of game engines.
- Creative - Have an artistic eye for implementing visuals concepts into game engines.

**Qualifications**:

- Able to solve challenging creative problems with equally creative technical solutions.
- Passionate about pipelines, workflow, and tools to help everyone work smarter and not harder
- Competence in self-management of daily tasks and project deadlines
- Ability to communicate technical art problems to designers and engineers
- Interest in Realtime 3D graphics and game engine technologies in general
- Solid understanding of lighting, particle systems, post-processes, material setup and general workflows inside UE and Unity
- At least 2 years of industry experience with Unreal Engine and/or Unity
- Advance experience of Unreal Engine Blueprints system
- Advanced experience with 3DS Max, Maya, Cinema 4D
- Comfortable in a range of content creation software including Photoshop, Zbrush/Mudbox, Substance Painter, etc.
- Solid organization skills with adherence to file structures, naming conventions, and other established protocols
- Shader programming experience
- Strong plug-in writing skills and/or understanding of code in Unreal and Unity
- Scripting skills with Python, C#, Javascript, etc
- Remain calm in high-pressure situations.
