Position: EIT Health Spain Education Lead

Reporting to: Hub Managing Director, with 80% of time allocated to working on pillar activities.
Managed by the Education Director and/or relevant Head from the Education team.
Works with:
At Hub:

- Engages with Hub MD as well as Eco-System Leads to understand audience needs, Member

needs and Hub priorities.
- Supports Eco-System Leads to assist project leads/project consortia in developing quality

proposals (i.e. best practice sharing, call explanation, support with quality assurance
framework, educational design, assessment methods).
- Sharing and exchanging insights with other Pillar Leads:

- Knowledge about the educational eco-system
- Tools and platforms
- Processes
- Events
- Roles
- At Central Office:
- Works with Education Director and relevant Heads, Programme Managers and the wider
- Education team.- Interacts with Professional Education Leads based in Hubs to provide content on programmes
- for better recruitment.- Leads, in coordination with the above-mentioned team, the business cycle of programmes

dedicated to students. I.e. Innovation Days (iDays), Winter/Summer Schools.

About EIT RIH Education Leads

EIT Health’s Education programmes aim to attract and develop the skills of those with the potential to
design, develop or utilise healthcare innovations. For this purpose EIT Health has developed two
distinct pathways within its education and training portfolio: (i) Education and Training for
Entrepreneurs and (ii) Education and Training for Professionals. For both, the offers are co-created

with EIT Health Members and external stakeholders, sourced through frequent and targeted calls and
delivered through the “EIT Health Academy Platform”. Within each pathway three distinct tracks
targeting key aspects of the lifelong learning journey of health innovation entrepreneurs and
professionals are offered: Entrepreneurship Pathway - Higher Education & Students Track, Fellowship
Track, and Business Creation & Entrepreneurship Track; Professionals Pathway - High Value Care
Track, Future Proof Healthcare Workforce & Population Track, and Digital Skills Track.

RIH Education Leads are key to shaping the education and training portfolio so it yields results and
impact as measured through KPIs and evidence-based outcomes (change in knowledge, skills,
behaviour). They are based at Regional Innovation Hubs (RIHs) to feed Hub perspectives into the
design and development of all of EIT Health’s Education programmes/criteria. They also act as
European references and coordinators for one or more tracks in the portfolio, providing support to
project leads, and ensuring cohesion and coherence, through regular meetings with projects once
selected for the EIT Health education portfolio.

RIH Education leads have a clear affinity for education, instructional design, adult learning principles
and eLearning. Besides their interactions at Hub level, they primarily interact with the Heads of
Pathways (respectively Entrepreneurship and Professionals), and importantly with the other RIH
Education Leads, as each holds one piece of the education and training portfolio.

Objectives of the role:

- Support the implementation of EIT Health’s education strategy across all of its Regional

Innovation Hubs (RIHs).
- Act as first point of contact, reference and coordinator for specific track(s) in the education

and training portfolio (Student programmes).
- Ensure high quality content development by supporting projects in allocated track(s)
- primarily once projects are selected and moved to implementation and deployment, but also
by providing guidance and assistance to the Eco-System Leads as they support project
development.
- Contribute to ensuring quality and impact of projects, by engaging with project

leads/Members in instructional design, adult learning principles and impact framework.
