**Global Category Lead (f/m/d)**
- Bad Vilbel | Germany (DE) | Full-time | Permanent- For our team Global Indirect Procurement we are searching Global Category Lead Logistics, Lab services & R&D:
**What you can expect**
- You are responsible for strategic Planning - development of long term, sustainable strategic category plans for the entire spend within a business unit, region or globally. Ensure alignment between global category team strategy and local Country teams
- You are responsible for relationship management - ensure that category strategies are highly aligned to current and future business needs and the supply base is capable of supporting these strategies
- You are responsible for oversee implementation of the Category plans
- You engage with key business stakeholders to gain approval and support for the Category plan
- You provide the highest level of Procurement expertise to category team - establish robust supplier management principles
- You track performance and reporting across the category using the assigned systems and processes (knowledge of PerAngusta would be an advantage)
- You develop, review, negotiate and execute complex business agreements and contracts
- You advise on appropriate procurement strategies and tactics for negotiations
- You analyse and resolve issues raised in procurement audit reports
- You resolve quality problems with suppliers and user departments and develop measurements for improvement and target setting
- You advise on appropriate approach to supplier inquiries, protests and appeals and respond to any escalated issues
- You coordinate the introduction of new and modified products and services with appropriate departments

**Who we are looking for**
- You have a Bachelor’s degree, advanced tertiary qualifications preferably in business administration, commerce
- You have extensive years of experience in leading a purchasing department in the pharmaceutical industry or listed categories
- You have experience in supplier management and people management
- You have proven track record of leading large, complex, category management activities at enterprise level, including major, multi-geographic programes
- You have well-developed analytical, conceptual and communication skills
- You can build and sustain positive relationships
- You handle conflicts and negotiations effectively
- You are fluent in English and German (other European languages would be an advantage)
