Data Protection Leader

At STADA Arzneimittel AG, we're seeking a dedicated professional to lead our data protection efforts. As a Senior Manager of Data Protection, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing our data protection policies and processes.



This position requires an individual with a strong understanding of global data protection laws, impeccable judgment in handling confidential information, and a strategic approach to implementing the data protection program that aligns with our corporate compliance objectives.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the creation and execution of effective data protection strategies to ensure comprehensive compliance with global regulations such as GDPR.
  • Regularly update the data protection program to reflect changes in laws, standards, and global policies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for data protection, advising in individual cases.
  • Provide strategic advice and regularly communicate with senior management about the status, issues, and evolutions within the data protection landscape.
  • Consult domestic and foreign subsidiaries regarding data protection topics, including the development of solutions.
  • Understand the business and business needs to provide risk-based advice, enabling the achievement of business goals while adhering to compliance requirements.
  • Conduct privacy assessments and data protection impact assessments, identifying risks and advising on risk management strategies.
  • Draft, maintain, and revise STADA's data protection policies, ensuring they are considered in all relevant business processes and advising on potential risks.


Requirements:


  • Hold a diploma or Master's degree with a legal, economic, or similar educational background.
  • Have 3-6 years of experience in a global professional or corporate environment in data protection, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Possess certification in data protection (e.g., CIPP, CIPM) as a plus.
  • Have a proven track record of managing data protection strategies and compliance programs.
  • Possess expert knowledge of domestic and international data protection laws.
  • Uphold high ethical standards and professional integrity.
  • Have project management and process design skills.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to conduct training sessions.
