**ABOUT YOUR ROLE**:
Main responsibilities:

- Edit submissions from expert consultants in 14 countries on major political events in the development space to be compiled in a weekly report, disseminated to over 16,000 subscribers at the top levels of government, major international organizations, media outlets, and civil society groups; contribute content to regular newsletters and other publications including analysis of policy trends;
- Support the Donor Tracker team to review publications that analyze donor finance and policy in global health, climate, education, gender equality, agriculture, and global development at large;
- Edit client proposals and deliverables as needed for the wider SEEK team;
- Author original thought pieces and analytical pieces related to global development;
- Support the translation of narratives into web-friendly content via a content-management-platform;
- Support Donor Tracker and SEEK Development social media campaigns on LinkedIn, promoting the firm's products and engaging with peer organizations and stakeholders online;
- Support SEEK team with ad-hoc tasks as needed.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Fluent English speaker (C2) able to operate in American English with 2-3 years of previous professional experience in journalism or editorial and written communications work; previous work experience in a political organization, NGO, think tank, or consulting firm an asset;
- Current student earning an advanced degree in communications, journalism, international development, political science, international relations, economics, or related field, with a strong knowledge of the broad global development agenda, including the Sustainable Development Goals; sectoral expertise in global health, climate, education, gender equality, and/or agriculture an asset;
- Strong writer, able to both edit and produce high-quality work independently, both with and without the use of natural language processors; highly organized worker with superb attention to editorial detail; able to work independently, managing tasks from multiple workstreams and managers;
- Digital native with demonstrated experience using and adapting to tech platforms, including content-management-systems; Directus or Webflow an asset; familiarity with Markdown an asset; and
- Ability to navigate social media platforms for business to design and implement professional campaigns on LinkedIn; experience with graphic design tools, such as Canva and InDesign an asset.
