TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.

The role incumbent is responsible for all Stamping related Center of Excellence topics within TE Automotive and Global TE. The main area of activity is the coordination and the leveraging of the CoE development projects for Stamping processes to develop future breakthrough initiatives.

**Your main tasks**:

- Delivers Stamping processes with the next generation techniques and methods to be a source of competitive advantage and to be capable of delivering the long term (5+ years) performance steps needed by the business in Automotive and other BU’s
- Ensure alignment of the Stamping CoE activities with the BUs
- Driving initiatives for plant productivity increase, material savings and cost & capex reduction
- Understanding and sharing of Stamping RTD’s and their plant and global savings potential to promote and ensure easy deployment
- Significant involvement in “growth” manufacturing processes to allow the successful transition of new products to our stamping facilities which may also include modifications and capacity increases for existing products
- Develop and deploy global standards for tools, equipment and processes, taking in account highest levels of safety requirements and sustainability.
- Identify, prioritize, support and sponsor Stamping Center of Excellence projects with the goal to get them “ready to deploy” according the need and the impact for the Global Automotive BU
- Collaborate with business unit’s Product Development and cross functional teams to ensure new product manufacturing flow but also downstream manufacturing processes to meet DFM and DFA objectives.
- Identify new opportunities by leveraging digital tools, datas and AI to drive productivity
- Develop process platforms, roadmaps and standards for Stamping processes using the latest technology to enable the most cost effective and efficient manufacturing operations, including lean principles, safety and sustainability requirements
- Be the steward of the Stamping Process Innovation Roadmap and ensure its alignment with Global BU needs
- Execute and assist in strategic planning to support manufacturing growth in the most efficient, cost effective manner and to influence senior leadership with the proposed manufacturing approach
- Work with local equipment suppliers to identify Stamping innovation opportunities, to get projects approved and to support multiple projects for on target implementation
- Leverage internal & external Benchmark & cooperation (e.g. institutes, universities, suppliers)
- Ensure CoE Scorecards are completed for BU / Plant commitments
- Organize and Support CoE Stamping Workshops
- Organizing and Leading the TE Global Stamping CoE community and participate in ME Leadership-team

**your profile**:

- Bachelor degree (Mechanical Engineering)
- 8+years of experience in various Engineering or Process Development assignments. Automotive industry preferred.
- 5+years in project management.
- Strong background in stamping related technical concepts and machines / tools / production
- Innovative and high level of creativity
- Strong knowledge of Operational Excellence and Lean tools (Six Sigma degree is preferable)

- High interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to influence across an organization and work with global peers
- Strong knowledge and experience in range of stamping manufacturing from low volume speciality through high volume, high speed stamping production
- Experience about stamping equipment design and hands-on integration experience is required
- Equipment control knowledge and experience will be a plus
- Knowledge of the latest stamping technologies and innovations
- Willingness to travel frequently, and as necessary, to support a global manufacturing organization
- Think out of the box and be innovative in productivity techniques.
