**Duties**:
- Provides appointment finding functions for specialist medical care within the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) and other host nation providers.
- Reviews patient health insurance information to determine eligibility for various types of specialty care.
- Monitors patient records and insurance information.
- Coordinates with between the MTF and host nation care providers as applicable.
- Tracks and ensures that patient healthcare records are transferred to the proper health care facility, if healthcare is being providing by a host nation provider.
- Serves a point of contact for patients in regards to insurance, billing, and any other pertinent information related to specialty care.
**Requirements**:
**Conditions of Employment**:
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction 1315.19.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- All Health Care Providers must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) training and certification that is sponsored or endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Current Advanced Life Support or other advanced certification does not supersede BLS completion.
- A pre-placement medical examination is required.
- This position requires up to 5% travel (TDY).
- Shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations is required.

**Specialized Experience**
Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service coordinating specialty appointments at a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) utilizing automated systems to verify and process patient insurance information, coordinate appointments with external MTFs that provide special treatment services, and serve as a point of contact for patients in regards to billing and other pertinent medical information required for specialty care.
Some positions allow for a substitution of education for experience. This position does not allow for substitution of education for experience.

- Employees (and family members) who require medical or dental care in the overseas location will be responsible for obtaining and paying for such care. Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only.
- Medical and dental care may be provided by host nation providers. The availability and level of care at host nation medical and dental facilities will vary by location.
- Pay retention may be offered to selected applicants for positions at overseas locations. Pay retention will not be offered as an incentive for employees moving between overseas positions.
