**Duties**:

- Evaluates security-related insider threat triggers from multiple sources.
- Prepares and coordinates appropriate responses to insider threat triggers.
- Prepares appropriate documentation and provides recommendations to security managers regarding Personnel Security issues.
- Provides authoritative guidance in Personnel Security matters to security managers, special security officers, and high level managers.
- Executes appropriate procedures to assist cyber security specialists in maintaining secure networks.
- Responds appropriately to Unauthorized Disclosures of Classified Information (UDCI) and Negligent Discharges of Classified Information (NDCI) on networks.
- Serves as a Security Specialist supporting Army Commands (ACOMs), Army Service Component Commands (ASCCs), and Army Direct Reporting Units (DRUs).
- Provides guidance, mentorship, and support to security professionals.
- Recommends, when appropriate, changes to security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Resolves conflicts in security policy and program objectives.

- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.

- In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
- To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience equivalent to the GG/GS-12 that prepared you to do this job.
- Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing data from multiple sources of information, related to potential insider threat issues, which impact personnel and information security programs; and coordinates the development of appropriate responses to minimize or eliminate potential threats. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
