We are the UKE - the University Medical Centre Hamburg-Eppendorf [Universitätsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf]. A pulsating centre of health in the heart of Hamburg. Liquid biopsy has been highlighted as milestone in cancer research by the journal NATURE. Our project part will specifically involve the validation of liquid biopsy methods through performing experimental quality assurance (QA) studies by the development of external quality standards and performing ring trials for technical assay validation in different laboratories.
This position is to be filled within the framework of a third-party funded project for a limited period until the end of October 2024 with a possibility of extension.

- In-depth interest in tumor biology
- Experience with local and national ethical guidelines
- Desirable are experiences in applied laboratory methods: cell culture, qPCR, ddPCR, and Next Generation Sequencing.
- Ideally knowledge in R programming
- Ability to work independently, organizational skills, teamwork, quick comprehension, commitment
