Digital Marketing Strategist in Berlin or Konstanz

KNIME is growing rapidly and we’re seeking smart, motivated, and creative people up for the challenge of helping us achieve ambitious scaling goals while continuing to empower the active community. Right now, we are looking for a Digital Marketing Strategist (M/F/d) to help us rethink how we use traditional and new digital channels for sharing thoughtful, educational data science content with our community and the world. This person will be instrumental in helping drive market awareness in the fast-growing data analytics industry. The Digital Marketing Strategist can join our team in any of our offices: Berlin or Konstanz.*
Who you are
You are a forward-thinking, creative and driven digital marketing professional who has experience managing promotion strategy and integrating new approaches to stay in line with evolving user behaviors. This means:
- You know which content to promote on which channels.
- You understand best practices for optimizing for awareness versus lead generation.
- You’re constantly experimenting with new platforms as they gain popularity to keep the business relevant in the spheres where people spend time.
- You’re not afraid of targeting technical audiences, knowing how to adjust and test content promotion based on new target groups.
- You’re extremely diligent, with an eye for detail, keeping yourself and those around you organized and on-time for any relevant deadlines.
- You truly immerse yourself in the field in which you market-you’re constantly reading news to keep abreast of timely industry information.
- You are comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in a start-up environment, where not every process is well-defined.
- You work with a high degree of autonomy, while still being open to lend a hand to your coworkers.
- 5+ years of marketing experience is required.
- You’re a fluent English speaker with an impeccable understanding of English grammar.
That’s the job
**You would be expected to**:
- Help plan and implement a revised/refreshed digital strategy to drive adoption of our free and open source data analytics tool.
- Find an approach that helps balances promoting both, our free and commercial software.
- Test digital channels, both traditional, like LinkedIn and Facebook, and growing, like TikTok, Mastodon, etc.
- Work with marketing and evangelism teams to learn what has worked in the past and find the right content per promotion channel.
- Help better leverage the customers and open-source users as brand ambassadors.
